Glass Ornaments

Materials List
  • Pearl Ex - pearlescent powdered pigments
  • Duo Embellishing Adhesive
  • Detail Paintbrush
  • Black acrylic paint or any dark acrylic paint
  • Clear glass ornament
  • Plastic cup
Directions
  1. Remove metal top from glass ornament. Pour in Duo Adhesive and coat inside of ornament completely by turning until the inside is covered.
  2. Turn ball upside down and place in a plastic cup to allow excess adhesive in ornament to drain out. Let dry until clear. This may take 30 to 60 minutes.
  3. Apply Pearl Ex to the inside of the ornament by tapping in powders using a Detail Paintbrush. Repeat with as many colors as you want. Shake powders inside the ornament to completely cover the inside.
  4. Pour diluted black acrylic paint mixture (50% paint/50% water) into ornament. Coat the inside of the ornament by turning until completely covered.
  5. Turn ball upside down and place in the same plastic cup used for adhesive to drain in, and allow to drain and dry completely again.
  6. Replace metal top on ornament.

Tips:
Stamp on the outside of the glass ornaments using Pearl Ex Stamp Pads.
Spray the outside of glass ornament with Webbing and/or Glitter Spray.
Use a Fine Liner filled with Duo Adhesive (let dry and dust on more Pearl Ex powder or Gildenglitz) and personalize your ornament. Pearl Ex comes in 40 pearlescent colors, create several ornaments to decorate your home for the holidays!
