Piñata Background Stamping
by Sandi Miller

Materials List
  • Piñata - Several Colors including Claro Extender
  • Rubber Stamps (Sandi Miller's Giraffe, Palm Tree and Pineapple were used above)
  • 101 Artist's Cement - Light
  • Pearl Ex - Aztec Gold
  • Folia Card Stock
  • Ah, That's Great Tape
  • Glossy Card Stock
  • Soft Sponge
Directions
  1. Create background with Piñata on glossy card stock. On a piece of freezer paper, mix Piñata and Claro Extender together. The more Extender that is added the lighter the color. Sponge the diluted Piñata onto the glossy card stock. Keep sponging and diluting until a desired color is achieved. Keep the background light because you will be stamping over it.
  2. Stamp over the Piñata background with a dark color of dye-based ink (you may want to blend 2-3 colors on the stamp before you stamp).
  3. Mix 1 tablespoon of 101 Artist's Cement - Light with one teaspoon of Pearl-Ex - Aztec Gold. Using a palette knife, spread a thin layer onto a piece of Folia Card Stock (3rd layer).
  4. Mount all layers together with Ah, That's Great Tape.
