Pearl Ex Watercolor Palette Technique
Uses and ideas from the creative art department of USArtQuest, Inc.

What is so interesting about this technique is that the watercolor won't stick to the embossing powder. It's simply stunning!

Materials List
  • Pearl Ex-Press Watercolor Palette - Metallic or Interference
  • Folia Super Card Stock
  • Gold or Black Embossing Powder
  • #4 Detail Paint Brush
  • Rubber Stamp
  • Water
Directions
  1. Select a rubber stamp with a bit of detail. Stamps resembling stained glass, outlines and lacy patterns work well.
  2. Stamp onto card stock with black ink. Heat emboss using fine gold or black embossing powder. Let cool.
  3. Spritz the palette with water. This re-constitutes them and makes them ready-to-use.
  4. Use a #4 Detail Brush to color in the stamped image. Add more water to the palette or brush as necessary.
