Colorful "Green" Greeting Cards

Technique: "Paper Enameling"

Materials List
  • Perfect Paper Adhesive - Gloss
  • Great Tape
  • MicaColors
  • old greeting cards
  • diecut mat board
  • cardstock
  • baronial cards
  • scissors
  • brush
Directions


1. Begin by applying Great Tape to every area of the matboard.
2. Cut the old greeting cards, or scraps of decorative paper, fitting them together like a jigsaw puzzle. Apply the pieces to the matboard.
3. When complete, trim the edges with sharp scissors.
4. Carefully apply a wash of MicaColors to the entire piece, filling in any little gaps and coating the matboard edges to finish it nicely.
5. Quickly wipe off excess MicaColor from the shiny papers or topmost surfaces.
6. Apply an exceedingly generous coat of PPA - Gloss to the entire surface and allow it to dry thoroughly.
7. Mount it on layers of cardstock and apply the finished piece to a card, using Great Tape.
