Mica Wreath Ornament

Technique – Mica Shapes™
All materials italicized are available from USArtQuest
This technique is easy, quick and a very nice gift or gift tag for holiday packages. Because the mica and color is transparent, lights will glisten through the colors. These ornaments would not only look nice on the tree, but also inserted into holiday scrapbook pages, used as gift tags or even a greeting card. A small photo can even be used in the center!

Directions
  1. Separate the single large Mica Shape™ Ring into 2 pieces.
  2. Separate the 4 medium-sized Rings into 3 pieces each – yield 12
  3. Attach one small Appliqate™ to a Handy Clip™, or use a cotton swab per color
  4. Line up the medium sized rings onto Studio Paper™ – in this order
    - 3 for green
    - 3 for red
    - 6 for yellow
  5. Daub some Krylon Pen ink onto the Studio Paper™.
  6. Dribble 3 drops of color on a ring.
  7. Pick up a tiny bit of Krylon ink onto the Appliqate and daub it into the Piñata Color. It will marbleize the Ring.
  8. Follow steps 6 & 7 for each ring.
  9. When dry, use scissors to slice half-way through each medium sized Ring.
  10. Slide them onto one large Ring, in a pleasing order.
  11. Attach the second large Ring to the back of the piece, stabilizing the smaller Rings, and to neaten the back of the ornament.
  12. Use the Great Tape™ to firmly hold it in place.
  13. Attach a pretty ribbon and cord for hanging.
